The band has performed at both Hadleigh and at the two days of the Suffolk show and looks forward to a busy season ahead.
Playing at both events was to a very high standard and, although the weather turned against us with rain towards the end of the second day of the Suffok show, Paddy kept us amused as our percussionist for this event

Ipswich Hospital Band is delighted to have moved into its new home at St Peter’s by the Waterfront. The project has been funded with grants from the Heritage Lottery Fund, Ipswich Borough Council and Ipswich Historic Churches Trust, together with the Band’s own fundraising efforts
The Band celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2006 . It performs at major concerts, fetes, carnivals and music festivals, raising thousands of pounds for health related charities. There are over 40 members in the main band, together with smaller groups who perform independently and a thriving training system. The opening concert in the church is on May 24 at 7 30 and tickets are sold out.
The conversion in the church has been done to cause minimum disturbance to the fabric of the building and original features have been retained. A beautiful oak tiered stage has been installed and the 205 seat auditorium is equipped with underfloor heating and lacquered brass lighting, with sound and light systems to support stage presentations. A heritage display gives background to the church and the area. Volunteers will be opening the church during the day.
If you would like further details on booking the venue or the band, please contact the Centre Manager, Bernard Westren on 01473 225269 or 07717 398296 or visit our website www.stpetersbythewaterfront.com

The band performed their opening concert at St. Peters by the Waterfront on Saturday 24th May to a full house. The Concert was compered by the former Mayor of Ipswich, Roger Fern and finished up with a premier performance of Winds of Change written by the Musical Director of the Band, Mr Peter Gray, especially for this opening concert. Many of the audience came early to view the Heritage displays and listen to the Wind Ensemble provide some incidental music.
